Facts About A Women’s Heart

Almost 1 in 3 women will die of heart or blood vessel disease. After age 50, women begin to develop and die of heart disease at a rate equal to that of men. 38% of women who have heart attacks die within a year, compared to 25% of men. 63% of women who died suddenly from coronary heart disease had no previous symptoms.
Some diagnostic tests and procedures, including the exercise stress test, or stress ECG, man be less accurate in women. 46% of women are disabled by heart failure after a heart attack compared with 22% of men.

Symptoms for Women

Feeling breathless, often without chest pain of any kind.
Flu-like symptoms - specifically nausea, clamminess, or cold sweats.
Unexplained fatigue, weakness, or dizziness
Pain in upper back, shoulders, neck or jaw.
Feelings of anxiety.
